In September 2022, a North Carolina Department of Transportation vehicle failed to yield and struck an individual riding a moped in Johnston County, North Carolina. The moped operator suffered extensive injuries that required a month-long hospitalization. He suffered a brain hemorrhage, a collapsed lung and a fractured femur, hand and jaw.

Plaintiff’s counsel obtained a settlement in the amount of $1 million including negotiating an additional $178,000 for medical expenses.
