Thorp, Bunn Settle Johnston County Crash Case For $980K
Isaac Thorp of Thorp Law in Raleigh and Kevin Bunn of Kevin Bunn Attorney at Law, P.C. in Cary recently settled a case for $980,000 on behalf of a client injured in an accident involving three vehicles. Thorp is immediate past chair of NCAJ’s Auto Torts & Premises Liability Section. Bunn is a member of the NCAJ Executive Committee.
Insurance carriers: North Carolina Farm Bureau for at-fault driver, Union Insurance Company of Providence for UIM
Facts of the case: Juan Saldana was driving a pickup truck around a curve on State Road 1561 when he lost control, hitting a first vehicle and then crashing into Barbarba Hedrick’s car. Hedrick was an employee of Johnston County Schools acting in the course and scope of her employment at the time of the crash. Most of the settlement will come from the Johnston County Schools UIM policy.
