In Memoriam: William “Billy” Douglas Etheridge
William “Billy” Douglas Etheridge died April 9. He was 86.
A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and UNC School of Law, in 1965, he moved to Rocky Mount and began practicing law with NCAJ founder Bill Thorp.
Etheridge retired in August 2022 as the senior partner of Etheridge, Hamlett, and Murray, LLC of Nashville, N.C.
He was a member of NCAJ from 1974 until 2023.
