In Memoriam: Victor Scott Peterson

Victor Scott Peterson died May 30. He was 80 years old.  

Peterson practiced law in Transylvania County for more than five decades, beginning in 1972. According to his obituary, friends and family “often joked that his work became increasingly necessary to support his lifelong passion for golf.”  

Peterson was a Jaycee, a member of Rotary International and coached youth basketball. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as a Morehead Scholar and his law degree from UNC School of Law. He was a member of NCAJ from 1983 to 2006.
