John C. Collins Deceased
NCAJ member John C. Collins of Wilmington died April 5. A New York native, Collins graduated from Duke University and earned his law degree at Wake Forest University School of Law. He practiced law for more than four decades in Wilmington, most as a partner with Hewlett, Collins & Allard, where he focused on criminal defense. According to his obituary, a memorial service is planned for a later date. The May 11 edition of The New Yorker magazine includes a moving article by his daughter Lauren Collins about his life and the experience of mourning in the age of social distancing.
