In Memoriam: Sherrill Lee Atkins
Sherrill Lee Atkins died Nov. 27, 2025. He was 82.
Atkins practiced law in Saluda for more than 50 years, many of them as a partner in the firm of Atkins & Craven. He served as city attorney for Saluda and was well known for his commitment to pro bono work.
Atkins was a graduate of N.C. State University and earned his law degree from University of North Carolina at School of Law.
