In Memoriam: Frederick “Fred” Taylor Mattox
Frederick “Fred” Taylor Mattox died Aug. 16. He was 92.
Mattox was a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and earned his law degree from UNC School of Law. He practiced law in Pitt County for more than 50 years, founding the firm Harrell and Mattox, which became Mattox, Davis, Barnhill, Paysour and Edwards, P.A. Mattox served as president of the Pitt County Bar Association and the Third Judicial Bar.
He was a member of NCAJ from 1978 to 2010. Find his obituary here.
