In Memoriam: Charles Thomas Busby

Charles Thomas Busby died March 28, 2025. He was 71.

Busby earned his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his law degree from Wake Forest University School of Law.

He practiced law for 47 years in Plymouth, Edenton, Wilmington and Hampstead, focusing on civil, criminal, family and real estate law. During his career, he served as a public defender and the city attorney for Edenton.

He was a member of NCAJ from 1978 to 1999.
