In Memoriam: Gayle Edward Ramsey

Gayle Edward Ramsey died March 5, 2025.

Ramsey practiced law in Transylvania County for 50 years, beginning 1963 when he joined his father’s legal firm, Ramsey, Hill and Smart. He earned his undergraduate degree from Wake Forest University and his law degree from Wake Forest University School of Law.

He was a member of NCAJ from 1980 to 1991.
