In Memoriam: Jackson Bebber
Asheville lawyer Jackson Bebber died Saturday at Lake Lure, leaving devastated family and friends to mourn the loss of a gracious, intelligent lawyer with a magnanimous spirit and a zeal for life. Bebber, who was 50, was serving as head of NCAJ’s Eminent Domain Section this year.
“With Jack’s death, the NCAJ family has lost a charismatic leader and a loyal friend,” said NCAJ President Valerie Johnson. “Our hearts are with his wife Tami, their three daughters, the entire Bebber family and Jack’s colleagues at Van Winkle. He was a bright light, and we will all feel this loss for years to come.”
Members of the Eminent Domain Section will remember Bebber as a talented trial lawyer who was always willing to share his knowledge and skills.
“This is a huge loss for Jack’s family, the community of Asheville and our organization. He was truly a gentleman, a leader and a fierce advocate for justice,” said former NCAJ President David Henson.
