Edwards, Beightol Form New Firm In Raleigh

Cate Edwards and Kristen Beightol have teamed up to establish Edwards Beightol, LLC. Their new firm will be based in Raleigh, but will serve clients across the nation. Edwards and Beightol will focus their practice in the areas of personal injury, wrongful death, birth injury, civil rights, sexual harassment and abuse, truck accidents, medical malpractice, traumatic brain injury, whistleblower/qui tam, nursing home neglect and abuse, and wrongful termination from employment. Edwards is a member of the NCAJ Civil Rights Section and the New Lawyers Division. Beightol is a member of the NCAJ Professional Negligence Section and the Women’s Caucus. She received an Ebbie Award in 2021.

Edwards earned her undergraduate degree from Princeton University and her law degree from Harvard Law School. She was previously a partner at Edwards Kirby, LLP. Beightol earned her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina School of Law and her law degree from Campbell University School of Law. She previously practiced with Edwards Kirby, LLP.
