Volunteer Attorneys Needed To Assist Helene Survivors

Legal Aid of North Carolina is seeking volunteer attorneys to assist disaster survivors with insurance-related issues in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. Volunteers will help clients understand their insurance policies, review claim denials, and support them in communicating with insurers to negotiate fair settlements. The primary need is for advocacy and guidance to ensure claims are properly processed and survivors receive the benefits they’re entitled to. Volunteers do not need to be insurance law experts; just someone willing to review the policy and help the client navigate the process of talking with the insurance company.
