NCAJ Names Veronica McKoy CLE Director
NCAJ is pleased to announce that longtime staff member Veronica McKoy begins her tenure as Continuing Legal Education director today. McKoy has served NCAJ members for 23 years, most recently as assistant director of the CLE department.
Executive Director Kim Crouch said McKoy’s knowledge of NCAJ, her professionalism and her strong relationships with NCAJ members make her the perfect fit for the job.
“Veronica truly understands NCAJ’s mission, and her experience and skills will be invaluable in leading NCAJ’s education efforts going forward. Everyone in NCAJ knows Veronica, and Veronica knows everyone in NCAJ. She has a keen grasp of what our members need and works tirelessly to help them share their wisdom and experience with one another. I am thrilled to see her take on this role.”
Here’s a brief Q&A with Veronica, excerpted from a Trial Briefs feature on staff members.
Time at NCAJ: 23 years
Currently working at home with me are: my spouse Michael and an ever-needing teenager Madison.
If we ever have an office potluck again, I will: bring spinach artichoke dip.
Favorites: My favorite author right now has to be Bakari Sellers, author of “My Vanishing Country: A Memoir.” He is a young politician who has become one of the most influential and thought-provoking people in my world right now. When I met him on the shuttle bus at RDU last October, he was so nice and accommodating. My favorite musical artists are Seal, Rob Thomas, Anthony Hamilton, Leela James, Keith Urban, Hootie and the Blowfish, Darius Rucker (solo), Kane Brown and Luke Bryan.
My superpower is: being a good judge of a person’s character.
