The Juvenile Defense Section is made up of dedicated attorneys from across North Carolina who are committed to advocating for the rights of youth involved in the justice system—both in state and federal courts.
Our Section focuses on:
- Legislative advocacy to promote fair and effective juvenile delinquency policies
- Section-specific listserv to ask questions in real time to other colleagues.
- Providing ongoing legal education tailored to the unique challenges of juvenile defense
- Fostering a supportive community of professionals who share resources, strategies, and encouragement
