Shana Rothwell is a criminal defense attorney practicing in Raleigh and she is enthusiastic about advocating for vulnerable populations. Rothwell attended North Carolina State University for her undergraduate studies and went on to earn her law degree from UNC School of Law. After graduating, she went into public interest work at Carolina Small Business Development Fund, a small business lender with a focus on women and minority business owners. While there, Rothwell filled many roles within the credit department and helped to establish a compliance department.

Rothwell pursues her passion for trial work and criminal defense as an assistant public defender in District 15, which includes Bladen, Brunswick and Columbus counties. In her free time, she enjoys reading for pleasure and spending time with family.
