Joan Davis is a partner at Howard Stallings Law Firm in Raleigh, where she represents real estate developers, national retailers, lenders, and individuals facing eminent domain litigation. Recipient of the 2025 NCBA Citizen Lawyer Award and past chair of NCAJ’s Land Condemnation Section, Joan has published numerous articles on condemnation issues. Her work has been featured in the National Anthology of Best Practices for Eminent Domain and Economic Growth. She has been a frequent speaker at local, state, and national CLE conferences on the topic of eminent domain.

Joan earned her J.D. at the UNC School of Law and has been a member of NCAJ since graduating law school.
