Helen Parsonage, based in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, is certified as a specialist in Immigration Law by the North Carolina State Bar Board of Legal Specialization. Her practice focusses on complex deportation defense and allegations of fraud. She works with Indigent Defense Services and the Federal Public Defenders to consult on the immigration consequences of criminal convictions. She has presented extensively on immigration law and has been an invited faculty member for numerous professional conferences. In addition, she has lectured on immigration, as adjunct faculty and as guest speaker, at Wake Forest University School of Law, Elon University School of Law, North Carolina Central University School of Law, Davidson College, and at the University of Carolina Chapel Hill, School of Law.

Helen is a member of NCAJ’s Criminal Defense, Women’s Caucus sections, and the Hispanic/Latino Division.

She earned her J.D. at NCCU School of Law and has been a member of NCAJ since 2002.
