George Piemonte was one of the first lawyers in North Carolina to become a North Carolina State Bar Certified Specialist in Social Security Disability Law. George is currently a Past President of the National Organization of Social Security Representatives (NOSSCR), a past Chairman of the Disability Advocacy Section of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice and has served as a member of the Social Security Disability Specialization Committee of the North Carolina State Bar.

George has practiced law since 1987 and has focused his practice on Social Security Disability and Veterans Disability since 1995. He is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association, the NOSSCR, and the NCAJ. George has been recognized as a Super Lawyer since 2018, was presented a Lifetime Achievement Award by the DAS of the NCAJ in 2019, was awarded the Eileen P. Sweeney Distinguished Service Award by NOSSCR in 2023, and has a Distinguished rating from Martindale-Hubbell.

He is a member of NCAJ’s Disability Advocacy section.

He earned his J.D. at Nova University and has been a member of NCAJ since 1987.
