Deborah (Debbie) Maury began practicing with general practice, but increasingly focused on areas of interest, doing mostly Social Security Disability by 1990. In 2014, she was injured in a horse accident involving long hospitalization and rehab. Now, depending on wheelchair and good help, she came out of retirement in 2020 after completing required courses and active status with NC State Bar, since then have enjoyed working in practice limited to Social Security.

Debbie is a member of NCAJ’s Disability Advocacy section.

She earned her J.D. at University of Maryland School of Law and first joined NCAJ in 1982.
