Billie Guthrie, is a board certified specialist in Social Security disability law, has spent her entire career working with people experiencing challenging life situations and fighting for social justice, first as a social worker and later as an attorney. She joined Deuterman Law Group in 2023 after many years in private practice. She is the past president of Threshold, a psychiatric rehabilitation program in Durham.

She is a member of NCAJ’s Disability Advocacy’s executive committee, Women’s Caucus, and New Lawyers Division.

Billie has a MSW from UNC and graduated from NCCU’s School of Law in 2011 and has been a member of NCAJ since 2020.
