Tompkins Wins NCAJ Appellate and Trial Achievement Award

Elon Law School presented the 2022 NCAJ Appellate and Trial Achievement Award to Morgan Marie Tompkins at the school’s 2022 commencement ceremonies on Dec. 9. The award recognizes a graduating student who has demonstrated a commitment to public service and excellence in trial and/or appellate advocacy skills.  

Tompkins was an Advocacy Fellow at Elon Law, and she excelled in a number of advocacy classes and graduated with highest honors. Tompkins also participated in Elon Law’s Guardian Ad Litem Appellate Advocacy Clinic and completed her Residency-in-Practice with Judge Albert Diaz of the U.S. Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. She is dedicated to public service, as evidenced by her experiences, including internships with the Guilford County Family Justice Center and the Guilford County Public Defender’s Office.
