The Sumwalt Firm Becomes Sumwalt Anderson

Richard “Rick” Anderson has joined NCAJ Past President Mark Sumwalt as a partner in the newly renamed Charlotte firm Sumwalt Anderson, formerly The Sumwalt Law Firm. Anderson focuses his practice on workers’ compensation, medical negligence, and catastrophic personal injury cases. 

A Charlotte native, Anderson is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and earned his law degree from the Wake Forest University School of Law in 1993. Anderson practiced with Price & Smith Attorneys at Law, where he was a partner, until 1999. In 2017, he founded Price Petho & Anderson Attorneys at Law, where he practiced until earlier this year.
