Pinto Moves To American Immigration Council

NCAJ member Raul Pinto has joined the American Immigration Council as a senior staff attorney. His work will focus on promoting transparency in the field of immigration, helping to lead the Council’s Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) work and supporting litigators, open-government organizations and other advocates to encourage agency transparency on immigration issues, with a focus on enforcement and due process. Pinto was previously a senior attorney with the North Carolina Justice Center and had served as staff attorney at the ACLU of North Carolina. He earned his bachelor of arts from Rutgers University and his juris doctor from City University of New York School of Law. Pinto is a member of NCAJ’s New Lawyers Division and Hispanic/Latino Legal Issues Division.
