NCAJ BOG Approves Slate of Leadership Nominees
The NCAJ Board of Governors met Friday, April 17, at NCAJ Headquarters in Raleigh and approved a slate of nominees to lead the organization in 2026-27. President-elect Jason Orndoff is nominated to serve as president, and Jon Moore is nominated to serve as president-elect. Members will vote on the election of the nominees at the NCAJ Annual Meeting, scheduled for noon on Friday, June 26 at the Wilmington Convention Center.
Nominees for the 2026-27 Executive Committee are:
- Jason Orndoff, Hickory, for President
- Jon Moore, Charlotte, for President-elect
- Carma Henson, Raleigh, for Immediate Past President
- Drew Culler, Durham, for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Vice President
- Kristen Dewar, Concord, for Education Vice President
- Stewart Poisson, Wilmington, for Legal Affairs Vice President
- Lauren McAndrew, Raleigh, for Legislative Vice President
- Chris Heaney, Raleigh, for Membership Vice President
- Valerie Johnson, Durham, for Past President Appointed by the President
- Lauren Newton, Charlotte, for At-Large
- Jeremy Wilson, Wilmington, for PAC Chair
Nominees for the Board of Governor Class of 2028, whose terms expire in 2028
are:
- Helen Baddour, Hillsborough
- Sheila Chavis, Raleigh
- Nichad Davis, Durham
- Allison Garren, Shelby
- Jacob Goad, Durham (This would be his first year of service on the NCAJ BOG.)
- Gagan Gupta, Durham
- Rachel Matesic, Charlotte
- Ann Ochsner, Raleigh
- Joel Rhine, Wilmington
- Audrey Snyder, Greensboro (This would be her first year of service on the NCAJ BOG.)
Spencer Fritts, Raleigh, is nominated to fill the unexpired term of Jeremy Wilson, which ends in 2027.
