Maher Joins Law Offices of Amos Tyndall

Thomas Maher has joined The Law Offices of Amos Tyndall PLLC, in Chapel Hill, where he will focus his practice on trial, appellate and post-conviction cases. Maher was most recently executive director of the Center for Science and Justice at Duke Law School, where he also taught Criminal Trial Practice. Before that, Maher served as executive director of North Carolina’s Indigent Defense Services for 11 years, a term preceded by his service as executive director of the Center for Death Penalty Litigation. He earned his undergraduate degree at Northwestern University and his law degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Maher is a former chair of NCAJ’s Criminal Defense Section.
