Why is the idea of civil justice important to you?

Civil justice ensures that individuals and entities are held responsible for their actions, providing a mechanism for resolving disputes and protecting rights. It is essential for maintaining public trust in the legal system and fostering a society where everyone has access to justice, regardless of their background or circumstances. This commitment to civil justice drives my dedication to advocating for my clients and upholding the rule of law.

What’s your vision for the future of NCAJ?

I see the NCAJ as a leading force in advancing the rights of individuals and ensuring access to justice for all North Carolinians. Additionally, I hope to see an expansion of NCAJ’s educational programs to support the professional development of attorneys and increase public awareness about legal rights and resources. By fostering a collaborative and inclusive community, NCAJ can further solidify its role as a champion for justice and equality in North Carolina.

Through my participation in NCAJ’s NEXT Leadership Program, I hope to … develop my leadership skills, build a strong network of like-minded professionals, and contribute to meaningful change within the legal community. I aim to leverage this experience to advocate more effectively for my clients and support initiatives that promote justice and equality in North Carolina.”

Away from work … I can be found spending time with my newborn daughter, Cecilia. Additionally, I play soccer in an adult league in Greensboro and am a life-long soccer player and fan. I love to cook, hike, and ride my motorcycle. In sum, my interests can be condensed into family, sports, cuisine, and automobiles.
