Judge Brook Joins Patterson Harkavy LLP in Raleigh

Judge Christopher Brook has joined Patterson Harkavy, where his practice will focus on appellate, civil rights and employment law. Brook was an attorney at the Southern Coalition for Social Justice from 2008-2012 and Legal Director of the American Civil Liberties Union of North Carolina from 2012-2019. At SCSJ and ACLU-NC, Brook led litigation on issues ranging from environmental to constitutional law, including successfully arguing a case before a rare sitting of the full U.S. Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. He wrote 97 opinions as a judge on the North Carolina Court of Appeals in 2019 and 2020. Brook is a member of NCAJ’s Civil Rights Section.
