Isley Receives Order of the Long Leaf Pine

Centennial Authority Chair Philip Isley received the Order of the Long Leaf Pine from Raleigh Mayor Mary Ann Baldwin at the June 6 meeting of the Authority Board. The state’s highest honor, presented on behalf of Gov. Roy Cooper, the award recognizes Isley’s work negotiating an historic upgrade of PNC Arena and the development of the surrounding area worth potentially $2 billion.  

Baldwin has called the PNC project the biggest economic development project in the city’s history.
