In Memoriam: Patrick T. White

Former NCAJ member Patrick Thomas White died Dec. 19. He was 42.

White was the victim of a shooting on Dec. 20 at the offices of the Goldsboro firm, Riddle & Brantley, LLP, where he practiced. A service of Death and Resurrection will be held on Friday, Jan. 6 at 2 p.m. at Hayes Barton United Methodist Church, 2209 Fairview Road in Raleigh. Find White’s obituary and more details here.

The White family requests that donations in his memory be made in care of the Hayes Barton United Methodist Church’s Growing in Love Fund (GIL). The Growing in Love fund provides financial assistance to members and their families experiencing emergencies and crisis. Checks should be made payable to Hayes Barton UMC and “GIL – The White Family” should be noted in the memo line. Checks can be mailed to Hayes Barton UMC, Attn: Business Office, 2209 Fairview Road, Raleigh, NC 27608. Alternatively, contributions can be made online at: Online Giving (accessacs.com). The Growing in Love Fund is included in the Select a Fund drop down box and “GIL – The White Family” can be noted in the Optional Memo box.  Molly, Zeke and Phoebe thank you for your kindness, generosity and prayers during this time of sadness.

White was a graduate of West Virginia University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree and his juris doctor.

He belonged to NCAJ’s Auto Torts & Premises Liability Section, the New Lawyers Division and Nursing Home Litigation Section. He was an NCAJ member from 2015 to 2021.
