In Memoriam: George H. Whitaker

George H. Whitaker died June 8, 2025. He was 74.

Whitaker earned his undergraduate degree from East Carolina University and his law degree from North Carolina Central University School of Law. He practiced law for more than 30 years in Lee County, begining in with the opening of his Sanford practice in 1987.

He was a member of NCAJ from 1987 until 2020.
