Gov. Cooper Names Tally To N.C. Council for Women
Gov. Cooper has named NCAJ Past President Judge Mary Ann Tally to serve on the North Carolina Council for Women. Tally is the Superior Court Judge of the 12th Judicial District serving Cumberland County. She has served as an adjunct professor for the UNC School of Law, as a member of the N.C. Indigent Defense Services Commission and the North Carolina Civil Liberties Union. She served NCAJ in 1990-91 as the organization’s first woman president.
