Elon Gives Appellate and Trial Achievement Award to McCormick

Elon University School of Law awarded the 2024 North Carolina Advocates for Justice Appellate and Trial Achievement Award to Brooke Alexandria McCormick, who graduated with the school’s class of 2024 on Dec. 13. The award recognizes a graduating student who has demonstrated a commitment to public service and excellence in trial and/or appellate advocacy skills.
McCormick has demonstrated a commitment to public service through her work as co-director of the Elon Law Pro Bono Board and a student in the law school’s Small Business & Entrepreneurship Clinic. She has excelled in advocacy course work and engaged in a variety of advocacy experiences, including externing for Judge Jeffery K. Carpenter at the North Carolina Court of Appeals and the law firm of Block, Crouch, Keeter, Behm & Sayed, LLP. McCormick has also been an active member of the law school’s Trial Advocacy Team and Moot Court Board, serving as a co-chair of the 15th annual Billings, Exum & Frye National Moot Court Competition.
McCormick is from Metamora, Illinois, outside Peoria.
