Cammarano Named Industrial Commission General Counsel

The Industrial Commission is pleased to announce that Gina Cammarano has begun serving as General Counsel of the Industrial Commission, after having served as Acting General Counsel since June of 2023. Since 2019, Cammarano also has served as the Industrial Commission’s Rulemaking Coordinator. 

Prior to joining the Commission in 2019, Cammarano represented plaintiffs in workers’ compensation claims for 18 years. She is a North Carolina State Bar Board Certified Specialist in workers’ compensation law, and while practicing law she also was a North Carolina Dispute Resolution Commission certified mediator. Before beginning her private sector career in 2001, Cammarano worked for several years as a Special Deputy Commissioner in the Executive Secretary’s Office.  

Cammarano earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame and her J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law.
