Britton Receives Chief Justice’s Professionalism Certificate and NCSB McMillan Award

NCAJ Past President Rebecca Britton earned both the Chief Justice’s Professionalism Certificate and the North Carolina State Bar’s John B. McMillan Distinguished Service Award in October. Chief Justice Paul Newby presented the professionalism certificate in recognition of her leadership and steadfast commitment to the legacy of professionalism. N.C. State Bar President Darrin Jordan presented Britton with the McMillan Award, the bar’s highest honor, in recognition of her commitment to furthering the public’s understanding of the justice system, especially through her longstanding support of the North Carolina Mock Trial Program. Britton is a member of the NCAJ Auto Torts & Premises Liability Section, the Professional Negligence Section and the Women’s Caucus. She is also an Ebbie Award Winner and serves as president of the board of directors of the North Carolina Mock Trial Program. Britton focuses her Fayetteville-based practice Britton Law on personal injury and medical malpractice litigation.
