BOG Approves Slate of Leadership Nominees for 2025-26
The NCAJ Board of Governors met Friday, April 11, at NCAJ Headquarters in Raleigh and approved a slate of nominees to lead the organization in 2025-26. President-elect Carma Henson, below right, is nominated to serve as president, and Jason Orndoff, below left, is nominated to serve as president-elect. Members will vote on the election of the nominees at the NCAJ Annual Meeting, scheduled for noon on Thursday, June 19, at the Charlotte Omni Hotel.

Nominees for the 2025-26 Executive Committee are:
- Carma Henson, Raleigh – President
- Jason Orndoff, Hickory – President-elect
- Kevin Bunn, Cary – Immediate Past President
- Drew Culler, Durham – Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Vice President
- Lauren Newton, Charlotte – Education Vice President
- Stewart Poisson, Wilmington – Legal Affairs Vice President
- Anna Pishko Kalarites, Raleigh – Legislative Vice President
- Sheila Chavis, Raleigh – Membership Vice President
- John McCabe, Cary – Past President Appointed by the President
- Kristen Dewar, Concord – At-Large
- Jon Moore, Charlotte – PAC Chair
Nominees for the Board of Governors Class of 2027, which will complete its two-year term in 2027 are:
- Kristen Beightol, Raleigh
- Michele Cybulski, Greensboro
- Lindsey Granados, Cary (The would be her first year of service on the NCAJ BOG.)
- Scott Harris, Raleigh
- JK Moser, Winston-Salem
- Paige Pahlke, Charlotte
- David Sherlin, Raleigh
- Brad Smith, Charlotte
- Pat Wallace, Raleigh
- Jeremy Wilson, Wilmington
- Chris Heaney of Raleigh has been nominated to fill the unexpired term of Drew Culler, which ends in 2026. It would be his first year of service on the NCAJ BOG.
Nominees for AAJ Delegates are:
- John McCabe, Cary – AAJ State Delegate
- Karonnie Truzy, Greensboro – AAJ Minority Delegate
