Armstrong Sworn In As NC State Bar President

NCAJ member Marcia H. Armstrong has been sworn in as the 88th president of the North Carolina State Bar.

A partner in The Armstrong Law Firm, PA in Smithfield, Armstrong is a member of NCAJ’s Family Law Section. She is a board certified specialist in family law and past president of the state chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. She is a past president of the Johnston County Bar Association and the 11th Judicial District Bar.

Armstrong earned her bachelor’s degree from Salem College and her law degree from Wake Forest University School of Law. Armstrong served on the North Carolina State Bar Council from 2011–2019.

Chief Justice Paul Newby swore Armstrong in on Oct. 20 at the State Bar’s Annual Dinner.
