  • Jeff Weber, Executive Director of the William Wilberforce Center, Greensboro
    • Jeff Weber serves as the Executive Director of the William Wilberforce Center, a non-profit organization founded by Jeff in 2018 to serve the global diaspora community in the Triad of North Carolina. The Wilberforce Center serves asylum seekers, refugees and immigrants as well as providing workshops to assist non-profit and NGO organizations, equipping them to serve the world at our doorstep. Jeff is an ordained Anglican Priest and an Attorney focusing on humanitarian Immigration work. Jeff is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and serves as the Education Chair of the Immigration section of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice. In January of 2022, the Archbishop of the Anglican Church in North America (“ACNA”) named Mr. Weber to serve as the new Director of Anglican Immigrant Ministries, the ACNA’s national immigrant ministry.

  • Shane Ellison, Immigrant Rights Clinic, Duke University School of Law, Durham
    • “Charles “Shane” Ellison joined the Duke Law faculty in 2020 as a senior lecturing fellow and supervising attorney in the Immigrant Rights Clinic. Ellison currently sits on the National Amicus Committee of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), and he chairs AILA’s Asylum Litigation Working Group. He is frequently invited to speak at national immigration law conferences. His published scholarship has appeared in the Columbia Human Rights Law ReviewGeorgetown Immigration Law JournalCreighton Law Review, and several practitioner-focused journals.”

  • Elizabeth Carlson, Catholic Legal Immigration Network, Inc., Washington DC (CLINIC)
    • Elizabeth Carlson is a Senior Attorney at CLINIC. She provides training and legal support to member agencies and other organizations nationwide and is based in Washington, D.C. Prior to joining CLINIC in 2021, Elizabeth worked as a staff attorney at Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Washington in its Immigration Legal Services section. She provided direct representation in naturalization, family-based applications, asylum and immigration court proceedings.  She also worked for several years in private practice and previously served as a judicial law clerk and attorney advisor at the New York immigration court.  She is barred in New York and DC and has a Juris Doctor from New York University School of Law.
