Ask Me How To Vote
Help Make Every Voice Heard This Election
Razor-thin margins will decide many elections this November, but confusion about recent changes to voter ID rules and a sense of malaise about the democratic process could depress voter turnout. NCAJ aims to help its members get involved this election season with the Ask Me How to Vote campaign. This campaign provides the resources members need to help educate clients, friends and family about their rights to vote and why it’s so important that they exercise them.
We are working closely with the State Board of Elections and the North Carolina Voter Project, a new nonprofit dedicated to getting North Carolinians registered and out to vote.

The voter engagement toolkit includes:
- information on where and when to register to vote on Election Day, Nov. 5
- information on early voting, Oct. 17-Nov.2
- standards for newly required photo IDs for all voters
- a sample letter, email and a script for a reel, customizable with information about appellate judicial candidates
- tips on best practices for sending emails and posting on social media
- information about NC Votercode’s client list processing and mailing services for those wishing to send printed letters
- expenditure requirement information
