1. To update your contact information, visit ncaj.com/updateprofile or select "Update Your Info" from the Member Resources drop down menu on the homepage and then select "Edit Your Profile." Remember to click "Save Information" after making the edits to your profile.

2. To join a NCAJ section or division, click here. There is no fee to join the Legal Assistants Division, the New Lawyers Division, and the Hispanic/Latino Division. All NCAJ legal assistant members are automatically added to the Legal Assistants Division. All lawyer members who have been admitted to the NC Bar in the last ten years are automatically added to the New Lawyers Division.    There is a $95 fee for joining a Section.

3. NCAJ offers the following upgraded member levels:

Patron $950 - 1,299
Sustaining Patron $1,300-1,899
Benefactor $1,900 - 3,499
President's Club $3,500+

4. During the renewal season, select "Renew Now" from the Membership Resources dropdown, or visit ncaj.com/renew.

5. Our membership cycle runs from July 1 through June 30 each year. You should begin receiving renewal information in May.

6. You must be a member of a section in order to join its listserv, and listservs are an opt-in benefit available to all section members. You may join a listserv by indicating so on your membership application or you may email NCAJ to join.

7. If you are a member of a listserv and wish to change your listserv settings, click ncaj.com/listservsetting. Don’t forget to click "Save" after you make your changes. If you need additional assistance with this, you may contact NCAJ.

8. If you are a member of a listserv and wish to search archived messages from that list, visit ncaj.com/listservsetting and click Browse.

9. To access the Expert Database, visit ncaj.com/search and select "Expert Database" under "Trialsmith Documents"

10. To  access your section e-community, click "Sections & Divisions" from the Member Resources dropdown menu. Then select the Section/Division you wish to access from the list.

11.  To access your section document bank, click "Sections & Divisions" from the Member Resources dropdown menu. Then select the Section/Division you wish to access from the list. Then, click the Files tab to access that section's shared (document bank) files.

14. At ncaj.com, click "Find a Lawyer" from the navigation menu or click ncaj.com/findalawyer.

15. Select "Update Your Info" from the Member Resources drop down menu and select "Edit Your Profile." Select the Login Information tab and don’t forget to save your changes.

16. Each eCommunity has a complete current list of all section members. Click "Sections & Divisions" from the Member Resources dropdown menu. Then select the Section/Division you wish to access from the list. Click the Directory tab.

19. The OTN’s, or Online Trial Notebooks (aka Document Banks) are areas within  each section and division eCommunities where members have uploaded files to share. These files include sample briefs, motions, depositions, etc. The file share feature can be found in your eCommunity. Click "Sections & Divisions" from the Member Resources dropdown menu. Then select the Section/Division you wish to access from the list. Then click the Files tab.

20. Yes, for the security of the information within the separate Section & Division eCommunity, you must login to your eCommunity each time you visit the site.

21. You can access your NCAJ listservs online.  Visit ncaj.com/listservsetting. if you notice you don't have access, please certify your listserv email with Trialsmith (one time only) by following the instructions at ncaj.com/certifyemail.
