Biography: Curtis C. Osborne practices law in the areas of plaintiffs personal injury and wrongful death, including trucking collisions, plane crashes, premises liability, and product liability matters. He has been a member of NCAJ (and formerly NCATL) since 1998, after graduating from N. C. Central University School of Law.Attorney Osborne began his career as a solo practitioner in Monroe, Union County, NC, practicing there for two years. During that period, he also earned law licenses to practice in Washington, D.C., and South Carolina. In 2001, Attorney Osborne began attending the masters program (LL.M.) in litigation & dispute resolution at The George Washington University Law School in Washington, D.C. While attending George Washington, he took the Georgia bar exam, becoming a member of the Georgia bar in 2001.Attorney Osborne, after earning an LL.M., with highest honors, at G.W., opened a law practice in Washington, D.C. He became a member of the Maryland bar in 2002 after taking its exam. In the latter part of 2004, Attorney Osborne moved back to North Carolina and settled his law practice in Charlotte, where he continues to practice law. His leadership roles include serving on the NCAJ Board of Governors from 2014 through the present, serving as the Chair of the Minority Caucus of AAJ (American Association for Justice) from 2013-2014, and serving as the Chair of the John S. Leary Bar Association of Black Attorneys, in Charlotte, NC, from 2014-2015.
